A Little About Us

Quality Home Security was born in November of 1992 as a part-time, security company installing primarily residential alarm systems. The original founders, Michael Couillard and Brian Walsh, successfully managed the business together as a partnership until Michael moved out of state. Over time, Brian and his wife Laura, formed Walsh Security & Electric, LLC., dba Quality Home Security and developed the business to a full-time, full service, residential & commercial electrical & security company.

Walsh Security & Electric, LLC continues to enjoy steady growth. We currently have a ratio of 1 full-time master electrician to 1 full-time apprentice and a fully equipped service truck. We are looking forward to significantly adding to our team of experts and service equipment to continue providing the exceptional quality of service you deserve and have come to expect from us.
Brian’s Credentials

· 12 years experience in Industrial Controls & 3 Phase wiring systems

· 12 years experience in low voltage control wiring & alarm systems

· 4 years experience working in telecommunications field installing data transport and switching systems

· Experienced in high speed networking

· EIA/TIA Certified in fiber optic and CAT5 cabling and networking

· Security Systems Contractor License in 1992

· 15 years experience in residential wiring systems, specializing in remodel applications, service upgrades and repairs

· Attended Woburn Electrical School for the Licensed Journeyman and Master Electrician Programs
Laura’s Credentials

· Graduated Regis College in Weston, MA with a BA in Business Management with a concentration in Economics

· Attended the Master of Science in Business Economics Program at Bentley College in Waltham, MA

· 10 plus years corporate experience ranging from Supervisory to Management positions in the areas of Finance and Business Operations. Some areas of responsibility during this time include:
    · A/R Coordinator of a large security firm, (reporting directly to the COO & President), responsible for the A/R staff & proper handling of client accounts & allocation of over 2 million dollars each week
    · Office Manager for a commercial cleaning service, responsible for full-charge bookkeeping, organizing and coordinating office systems as well as managing personnel in the field
    · Reporting Analyst (working directly with the VP of Business Ops), for a large cable company, responsible for development and implementation of new strategies for reporting to company VP’s and District Managers for the purposes of improving technician and departmental efficiency and for technician performance evaluations
· 5 plus years operating a successful Mary Kay Business with over 100 clients and overseeing 20 plus new consultants

· Extensive computer & software training and experience with various Database & Finance Programs, including Quickbooks, Microsoft, IBM, Lotus & DOS
